Thanks for all the advice. I didn't realise how competitive the tattoo arena is. When I got mine done when I was a kid, it was just some dude in his bedroom, proper tattoo parlours were few and far.

Swindon town center has six studios, and it is a town full of charity shops and teen pregnants. London and elsewhere is even worse. Very unlikely anyone has space in a good studio, unless he gets lucky. The courses are for the rich and stupid.
Tattooist is the new photographer, good luck getting a profession out of it.

Just moved to Helsinki. I've heard of Tatuata via Seven Doors, but does anybody have any recommendations for some artists or shops that I should look out for?

Anyone going to London tattoo convention on this week? I'm in the market for a shoulder piece (tip of the arm shoulder not back shoulder if that makes sense) in a mandala/symetry style.

Hey, any recommendations for a tattooist that's similar to (https://www.instagram.com/okanuckun) ? Ideally London area. Was supposed to meet him a couple months ago, but couldn't quite get a date that suited the two of us and he's since started working in New York.

I think I want my other knee tattooed. I must have finally forgotten the pain...

So I had a few tattoos done while travelling and am now certain that I want a half/full sleeve. I was going to continue the travel theme but now I'm not travelling it seems a bit irrelevant although I would still like it document in same way.
Basically would like a sleeve but now lacking inspiration, what suggest would you advise?

Sorted a mtb for the guy that did my octopus and he's doing this to return the favour. Started yesterday but only lined it as he's fitting me in around paying clients.

Tattoos last a long time, don't rush into things.
If you don't know what to get, don't get anything. -

There will be more travel in the future - don't rush to fill the gaps now and regret not having more space in the future.

Fuck yea. I like it.
Also, last night I dreamt I had a new one but now I'm awake I cannot remember what was the design. Annoying.

I'm getting my knee tattooed in November. I've only booked the next day off from my courier job. Does that sound alright to anyone who's had a knee tattooed before?

I'm getting a skull with a nail through it from this guy. Will post back in here after. Also booked in for December to get a few more hours on the back of my leg from Scott Move.

I had both my knees done in one sitting on a Friday night and back at work on the Monday. Didn't find it too bad, just expect it to swell up no matte what you do to stop it aha. You will be fine

I'm sure it'll be fine! Just not sure how much fun riding a cargo bike for 9 hours with a melon for a knee sounds.

Cheers, think he's also up for doing this round the back if my leg.

Pain wise you'll be fine (I reckon, my left knee is professionally tattooed, I've done some handpoke on my right knee) but I'd want to give it a bit longer to allow for better healing.
I guess it depends what you're getting, line work or block colour/shading.

I was booked in for my third with Flurick but cancelled because I suddenly had to spend £400 at the vet. He sent me such a nice (translated) message back about my cat I nearly cried

Do it!
Get him to stick and poke all his mates for a few years.
