Did riding 8k with a cut up leg cause issues above and beyond what not riding the 8k would've caused?

Would you want someone you cared about to ride with a gash like that in your leg?

Is it my leg or someone else's leg? If it's my leg and the same distance in the same event I'd ride.

If it was someone else's it would depend on who they were, how far, what event it was and how they reacted to me telling them to stop.
