Cool - thanks. It would, I think; flow rates of the larger (6-8") in-line extractors are the same or better than many cooker hoods. I did wonder, though: will the grille and surrounding area quickly become disgustingly greasy - hence why hob-sized stainless steel hoods are de rigueur?
This is going in the ceiling space and being ducted off somewhere I assume?
You'll just need to make sure that when fitted in the duct it reaches the required flow rate under building regs (Part F) at the grille itself.
