When I was, I dunno, 5 or something I arranged my Ladybird books* by spine colour. Did me NO HARM whatsoever
*That's the original ones, not the irono-versions which it seems to be mandatory for museum / gift shops to stock at the moment

Old Penguin books are pleasing when arranged together. I was thinking this the other day when I read this article and the WRONG lady said:

This is WRONG. Did you see how "wrong" was in capitals? That's how strongly I feel. Novels, stack A-Z by author, but what about non-fiction, books on cities, travel books, autobiographies? You can't mix them all up with novels. Madness. You want fiction A-Z by author then a SEPARATE section for travel and non-fiction. Also outsize books need to be together.
