Have you seen the colour of the swimming pool? That'll take some fixing.

Appears to be a sort of 'retirement' place.
-

Local joke is you retire in Eastbourne then move to Bexhill when you're dead.

Or if you're a junkie on the social... So many London druggies got moved out to Hastings/Battle/Bexhill in the late 90s/early 00s it's unbelievable...

I'm surprised they didn't drain it before photos!

90s definitely, 00s was all about the asylum seekers being ghettoised in St Leonards. Cheap housing and a cash-strapped council ultimate combo.

Kitchen extraction: was planning on getting a fancy flush ceiling extractor for the new kitchen, but is there any reason why an in-line extractor wouldn't do just as good a job at about 1/3 the price?

There's a cafe that does 99 different Belgian beers. I know. I've been.

It would give any true English patriot a warm glow to see Nigel's face when arriving home it is true.

It's basically a house on a roundabout.
-
• #19540
The house IS the roundabout.

But yes, the lack of any sort of area around it that is not actually a highway is ruling it out, which is something of a shame as I think it's a great house.

Not that it's really your cup of tea, but there's a brewery across the road.

They need a few more books...
[EDIT] "Sitting Room/Bedroom 4" Oh yes, you're in the guest bedroom, don't be alarmed if people wander through your bedroom in the night, it's just because they need the toilet and you are kind of sleeping in a hallway...

You would be amazed, or maybe not, at the paucity of books evident in most houses that I have looked at over the past couple of days. 5,000 square feet of house, 15 linear feet of book shelf.

Couch and fridge shopping on intermanetz today, would be a lot easier if the people we're buying from would let us have some measurements... Not having a floor plan is becoming a bit of a PITA...
The EA is next to useless, I guess he's sold the house so DGAF now...

We've got them all.

Seems cheap as our cost £1000 more but we're 4 floors so needed scaffolding

This is going in the ceiling space and being ducted off somewhere I assume?
You'll just need to make sure that when fitted in the duct it reaches the required flow rate under building regs (Part F) at the grille itself.

Kindle innit.
Actually I didn't realise this but you literally can buy books by the yard now
Yes (I hope, I'm in the midst of that myself)
