Finally built this up again after it had been sat in my shed for over a year. New forks, stem and bars. It's getting a brake soon, my knees can't take brakeless anymore. The camo bar tape was all I had available but I actually kind of like it. Stem is too short though. If anyone has a quill stem in 120mm for sale or swap for a 100mm ITM one, let me know. Other changes I'd like to make in the future (but probably won't because this is meant to be a beater) are new, shallower wheels, nicer cranks and maybe a new seat post.

Made a few changes to my Donohue as well after snapping the old forks. Columbus Max forks made by Rychtarski, new stem and new deda bars. Really happy with it. Needs some mudguards for winter and a good clean and service. The front wheel is borrowed from the KHS. Normally has matching wheels.

What stem?

It's a 90mm, 1" ITM

I've got a silver seatpost to go on the Donohue that I need to get round to cutting down. Quite like the black though.

The silver post will look so much better with the ITM stem.

Winterproject coming up. Picked up this 1985 candy red Alan Competition CX frameset. Will finish it with parts from the spares box (8 or 9 speed campa stuff from the nineties, shorty V brakes for some real brake power,...)

Couple of updates on the old Enigma:
- Built a Powertap G3 hub into the old mavid rim. First wheel built, and I got a book and some help from Sam at Treadly, who helped me to get the last little kinks out of it too.
- I had a bike fit and ended up higher up, front lower by 1 3/4 spacers, but also with a weird Specialized Power saddle and an 8 degrees forward tilt. Looks odd, but haven't had gooch pain or back pain since.
- I swapped groupset for 6800 with med cage rear and 32 granny ring, because Adelaide hills can be ouchy and I'm getting old.
- New tyres ... might go 28 and gumwall next time though
- Finally, I wax bathed the new chain. I call this the waxperiment

A customer part exchanged this lovely Ken Bird at Edwardes in Camberwell - I think it was done as a time trial build 1x5 or 1x6 with lovely clearances and a Bernard Hinault stamped turbo saddle. I'd really like to see it go into the right hands, unfortunately too small for me. Roughly a 54cm frame, definitely needs a clean and some love. If anyone is interested PM for more info
