It was straight out of the box in this pic so it's ST-RS505 shifters on the stock bars... In retrospect- yes they look super flat. They are still ugly & always will be.
-
• #53
Aesthetic argument will never win in hydros, they are ugly af, all of them.
-
• #54
Exactly. What other argument is there?

less ball ache than cable discs, less maintenance maybe better braking.
-
• #56
Looks good to me..

Looks like the new Equilibrium Disc has a fair amount of tyre clearance up front. Wonder if the rear end still takes more than 28 c with and without guards as stated by Genesis when I asked them about it a few weeks ago.

less ball ache
The price you pay for radness
less maintenance
I don't do any
maybe better braking
Can't stop, don't want to either

I love Campag but that's probably around 3 grand isn't it?

Is fork on the Volare 12mm thru axle? Also, do people think the frameset will be discounted much or at all by retailers?
-
• #61
4K for a picture of the box they come in.

My Genesis prototype. I love it a lot, but have been having dirty thoughts about selling it for an equilibrium disc (not a new one). It'd be cheaper to have this converted for discs. Thoughts? It fits me perfect, takes 35c tyres, has brazed seat clamp which I like, Ritchey dropouts
-
• #63
Don't sell it, that thing is sick.
-
• #64
It is, but it stops in the rain like I've greased the pads with butter
-
• #65
70 quid and I've got a disc frame. Sounds good to me?
-
• #66
You'll probs find the equilibrium disc pretty heavy in comparison & you certainly cannot fit 35s on it.
28s with guards on mine.

DA brakes w/salmon pads.
-
• #68
Its long drop
My wheels are worn out and need replacing, which is why I'm thinking of making the change now

• #70
That has nothing to do with the frame though. How can it?
-
• #71
Because long drop caliper brakes are poo
-
• #72
Sounds like cable disc brakes
-
• #74
Mine work perfectly
-
• #75
Yeah long drops can be OK. Pad cleanliness and compound probably has more bearing though. Also you can't just weld a disc tab on that fork without killing it/yourself can you?
Nice beik btw
Fugio now has rack and mudguard mounts? I got rid of mine for this very reason...
