• My evangelical moment turned into a slight nightmare. Although it sealed, the cut was so large it wouldn't stay sealed (only sealing when the cut came round for more fluid), but small enough that fixing it with 'string' was a PITA, having to make the hole a little bigger to fit the string tool through before removing it. Then, because I'd let all the air out, one side of the tyre came away from the rim bead, and a standard track pump isn't enough to inflate it now. Compressor here I come...

  • On a good tubeless setup the tyre wont come away from the rim. I was riding at 10 psi this morning, maybe less, it was quite flat this morning for a while as I wanted to see if the tyre stayed on the rim and the tyre stayed on. The rim is fine and so is the tyre. Some tubeless tyres though dont stay on rims that the IRC's do when the tyre is delfated that tells you it not the rim but the tyre or that tyre rim combo. I would find a tyre that locks to your rims. it could be the rims too I have found that before.

This is where other sealants other stans sometimes seal the hole that stans can't but all sealants have there limits.
