  • Its the same feeling i got when i put a temporary replacement fork on a cross bike that had a 15mm longer a-c. so maybe something to do with the head angle

    yes this also makes trail longer

    but normally that should give a slower stable feeling going towards sluggishness... so a bit strange in your case with difficult nohands riding and all. Maybe its just different than what you are used to !

  • Yea after plugging numbers on the trail calc i can see how that should be the case.

    I felt the same effect on my cross bike actually. Id been running 45c front and 38c back, and after switching back to 38c front again it was like it was a new bike, with much more predictable and stable handling. Similar to the fork with a too long a-c. Maybe its just me that's picky, but there is definitely something in the handling that feels off in all these cases.
