Tire pressure? It wasnt awfully low..
Its the same feeling i got when i put a temporary replacement fork on a cross bike that had a 15mm longer a-c. so maybe something to do with the head and seat angle or bb height?
Im excited to see how the steering feels with a smaller diameter wheels. Maybe ill test with 29er in the back and smaller in the front to simulate a shorter a-c..

yes this also makes trail longer
but normally that should give a slower stable feeling going towards sluggishness... so a bit strange in your case with difficult nohands riding and all. Maybe its just different than what you are used to !

trail should get longer with bigger tires/wheels -> slower steering
