Does anyone know anything about whether or not it's possible to keep a dog happy and healthy on a vegan diet? Would love to get a rescue dog but couldn't bring myself to buy meat products.

Next he's going to say he doesn't even knit his own yoghurts.

I've made truffles before, just followed a basic recipe and replaced the dairy with oat cream. Good quality dark choc and it's all good 👌

Does anyone know where I can get Vital Wheat Gluten Flour for Seitan ?
I'd rather go to a shop for it than pay online postage.
I'm in SE18.Thanks

Decided to give this a proper go for a week to see how I went. Been vegetarian for a few years and slowly phasing out milk, but thought I'd make the jump.
Was going well until I got a bit drunk last night and bought a load of chocolate. It wasn't even a case of giving in to temptation, I just completely forgot. Back on the wagon now, tried a recipe for a vegan 'omelette' I'll be making for a guest this weekend, basically a pakora, but it was goooooood -

Most health food shops have it but it's silly money compared to buying 2kg online with free shipping. Whole foods, planet organic, holland and Barrett all have it.
The little bags in shops only last 2 or 3 batches and isn't really cost effective in my mind. -

Nice one. Keep at it. Plenty of good info on here and online. Must get a meet up sorted

I'm up north, but there is a Manchester Vegan Festival soon I think

Thanks - can you point me in the direction of that 2kg free shipping because I can't find it.
My nearest Holland and Barrett doesn't have it - tried today. -

I think they used to do 2kg bags, I think I got free shipping as bought on amazon prime possibly. You'll be using 1.5 cups of it in a basic recipe along with half a cup of nutritional yeast. Last time I bought it in a shop it was £5 for 300g.
That makes a weeks worth for 2 if you have it a few times during the week.
We make a few nugget bits to boil in broth and a big flatbread shape to steam, just divide the dough in two.
Schwartz pork seasoning works remarkably well to give it a meaty tang. -

I went to Hawker House last night and got some tacos from Club Mexicana. One tofish, one 'carne asada' (seitan I think) and one pulled BBQ jackfruit.
Mmmmmm.

We bought a dozen cupcakes from Lola's for a party last night, no pics but can assure you they were rad to the max. The pistachio iced choc w/cherry jam was particularly fantastic.
Definitely nice but pricey. -

I got given a birthday cake from Lola'a and it was great.
I also highly recommend Ruby's of London, who are mostly at Greenwich market. -

So, this rumbles on.
I think refusing to take the notes is a rather futile kind of protest, although I suppose someone has to do it. It's better to work towards getting the next generation of notes free of animal products again.

Spotted today in my local 'all vegan' grocery shop.
'Cracking' cheese from my nut sack anyone?
I'd rather cut off my ear than go there.
