Apparently so mate, it's all a 'serial connection system' according to some other forums, best thing to do is just plug it all into a PC and test in the e-tubes software.

would love to test that, but all my di2 wires are painstakingly put internal over the course of 6 hours. So don't have any left to test it with.. Was planning on doing something similar on my next build.

Y cable is waste of money but will work with 6879
-
• #2581
Yes - been using it on my 9070 for the last year
Never used a Y-cable, just linked shifters

Let me have a go later

If I wish to add sprinter or climbing buttons they would connect to the left shifter

Exactly how I've done it, except I stuck my wireless unit in the seat tube in between battery and junction
-
• #2586
Am just assuming wireless will work better inside plastic bars than steel frame.
-
• #2587
Almost definitely - mine would be inside my bars would it fit and had I thought of that when I routed!
-
• #2588
Can't tell if it'll fit through the cable holes in the bars, may have to go in with the bar end hole.

Ahh - you're talking about the new teeny one! I'm still on the old version with the 9070, will use new small one and new battery with next build!

@dancing james and @Dick
Thanks guys. THat is really helpful.@Dick If you could take a cheaky shot of the holes under the bars on the carbon vibes. Haven't found any good photos of how the brake and di2 cables exit to go to the frame.
Thanks.

I no longer have the Carbon Vibe bars @motoko - the marginal gains for £500 of bar and stem was ridiculous! Sent them back!
They were however, definitively, the nicest internally routable bars I've had my hands on. The stem is entirely pointless unless you have a frame that routes behind the steerer tube.
There are exit/entry holes in two places by the shifter and three by the clamp:

Thanks.
Are you running the Deda superzero alloy?
-
• #2593
Yup - nice and stiff, nice and light and HUGE routing holes.
I'm actually starting to like the weird "Aero" tops aswell....

£500 for marginal gains you say?
buys 5 sets

I just want to relocate the charging port but I'm also stupid enough to pay that kind of money if no other bastard has a cheaper solution.

If you enjoy riding Carbon with a crush resistance of about 2NM
you're right, didn't look at the reach. That doesn't look like it will work with the long reach. 440mm width + (104x2)208mm = 648, which is more than the 2 parts of the Y-cable combined.
@dancing james I used a 350mm for my front mech, which is a pretty perfect fit.
{But with those huge bars (wide and long reach) I don't think the 1200mm from EW-RS910 to SM-JC41 will fit.. I don't even think the biggest size (1400mm) will fit.. }Smart, use a 400mm from the bar end junction to your wireless unit and a 1200mm to the SM-JC41.BTW, didn't know you could link up shifters with the extra ports on them. You sure that works?
