• It's always the first thing I say: 'and where did it get you?'

I bet they really appreciate that.

  • My mate asked this of a black cab driver that did a real dangerous close/punishment pass only to get to the back of a massive queue mere meters away from him. The black cab driver responded by throwing a hot coffee in his face as he sped off. This was in front of loads of people as well!

  • Do you have any evidence? Cam footage? If so report it to roadsafe; nothing will happen or name and shame the company on social media, again nothing will happen.

  • You could also try 'Talk me through it...'. Having to justify rank stupidity and embarrassing behaviour may lead to regret. It may not. As long as you have an exit planned, all good.

  • Dear Mr B

We have received your online submission form regarding an allegation
and the video or photographic footage has now been viewed and
downloaded as evidence. As an investigation has now commenced, please
can you ensure that you remove your footage and/or any photographs
that you may have posted from all social media websites.

We have now sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution to the registered
keeper for them to furnish the drivers details at the time of the
    alleged offence

Really surprised by this given that more serious looking incidents seem to get no attention. Close pass last Thursday morning and I even mentioned in the report that I felt it was careless rather than malicious. Typical school-run mum with her head up her arse, I bet she won't even remember seeing me.

Does the NIP mean they actually intend to prosecute, or is that just necessary for getting the driver's details?

  • Link to video before you take it down?

  • This place is anti social media so the footage can be posted.

  • Actually in most of the cases I've said that ('& where did it get you in the end?') they've conceded that it was indeed pointless, in at least a couple of cases they looked utterly crestfallen. I am blessed with height and what can look like a very angry face, that possibly helps.

    Dear Mr ....

I refer to your on line submission as above.

The Registered Keeper of the vehicle has been contacted and we are waiting
for a response from them giving details of who was driving the vehicle
at the time of the incident.

    Yours sincerely

Given that I've got the stupid bitch's face on camera to prove she was driving, I'm pretty happy this being followed up following the Roadsafe submission.

  • To the righteous cunt on the motorcycle who leant on your horn as soon as the lights went green at old st round a bout. You sir are a fuckwit.

Ps that green box is for bicycles not you.

  • Probably @Jezston on his Harley.

  • This is not going to become a thing.

  • They've taken the video down.

  • "The 13 year old was forced off the road as the tractor overtook him and its trailer almost hit him."

Gah! Those pesky self-driving agricultural vehicles, programmed to only recognise adult cyclists...

  • I winged here at the time, but reported a southwark van driver to the council for forcing me out of primary in a pinch point practically making me have to jump onto the pavement. Got a the attached reply from them today. Probably standard spiel but adds to their stats no doubt.

  • Double decker bus driver tried to run me off the Euston road on Monday am - where's the best place to complain? TfL through this?

    https://tfl.gov.uk/help-and-contact/contact-us-about-bus-staff

  • How many TFL bus collisions a day do you think?

  • Is that supposed to help?

  • I beg our pardon, no it's not helpful, I was just amazed at the number. It's from Tom Kearney's campaign, he may be able to help, someone contacted him with a similar incident:

    https://saferoxfordstreet.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/cries-in-dark-whys-tfl-ignoring-them.html

On 28 August, I received this tweet: Seen this – any way to find out
driver? "Seeking witnesses, fem cyclist hit and run by bus on Essex
rd. Others stopped but too shocked to take details. #london #cycling
    @TfLOfficial"

I advised the cyclist involved to immediately report the incident to
the Met and TfL with the hope that CCTV evidence from the bus could be
seized before it was customarily destroyed by the bus company if it
wasn't requested in time by the Met. I understand that this
particular incident has been reported but I've not heard anything
    since.

  • Ah ok - reported via TfL contact form. Roadsafe would probably just palm me off to them anyhoo

  • The safety of our customers and road users is our highest priority. Poor driving or driving without due care is simply unacceptable. I’ve made London United, the company that runs this route for us, aware of your concerns. They will now investigate your complaint. The driver will be interviewed and could face disciplinary action.

Something might happen but I guess I'll never know what

  • The driver who killed Chris Boardman mum is in court. I'm sure Chris has made reference to not being sure if it would ever make it to court. It sounds like the case is going to centre on mobile phone use. Unfortunately the outcome is all too easy to predict.
