Get stans tape of the correct width and put two layers onto the rim. (You can try one layer but generally two are required.)
I used Tesa Tape. It's cheaper Stan's apprently.

When I got my wheels with factory fitted tape it went right to the edge but not up the sides, then again they've got a machine putting it on...
