Patches for inside the tyre? Didn't @cycleclinic say it was best to fix from outside?
I guess there's probably times when this doesn't work although I've only had one sidewall failure in 20+ years with tubes and that was being run off the road in Romania, oh and maybe one time on my old MTB when the brake caliper was rubbing on the tyre. Surely with stronger sidewalls of tubeless I should have even less sidewall drama?

I need to put an order in with him.

Same. A couple of 28mm Pro Ones from mu_mu

Mine is installed on a Light Bicycle U 65mm rim. I can measure it if you want (with my sexy new digital verniers).

One tip I read was to put a little chain lube on the valve core before re-inserting. This stops it getting gunked up be the sealent. It works...

Ah, sounds like the Joe's stuff, sort of gritty. Totally forgot about that option!

That GI Tackle Kit doesn't appear to be available in the UK yet. Anyone used this one?

Thats a really nice little kit
-
• #1236
Yes I used the one and they're more for MTB to be honest. The worms are huge things.
-
• #1237
Why do some kits have two tools and others only one? What are the two 'different' screwdriver worm stabbers for?
-
• #1238
Seems like the stabber is for widening/cleaning the culprit hole and the fork is for pushing the worm in.
-
• #1239
Why would you widen the hole?
-
• #1240
I didn't get on with it. I made the hole bigger as the instructions stated then couldn't get the worm in the push tool. One ruined tyre.
-
• #1241
I literally have no idea. I followed the instructions and just made the hole worse... facepalm Internal patch fixed it though.

I've done a stupid and bought this tyre for commuting.
Puncture resistance and tread thickness are very low so be prepared for short tire life when used on anything other than clean sand.
Its stupid fast and light but I have got the scare. Whats the next best thing? I want supreme but the biggest ones are 2" which isn't ideal as I'd like something a bit fatter. What else?

Sounds ridiculous. I expect to see them at battle on the beach next year.
-
• #1247
its for the Battle on the Q1.

I bought one of those kits. The worms are much bigger than the Genuine Innovations equivalent. I suspect they are intended for MTB tyres. The blade is useful though (for cutting off the end of the worm) so I've added that to my on-the-bike tools.

I've got teeths for that kind of thing. Don't need more shit taken off me at airports.
That's very neat. I could see myself investing in that.
