Unfortunately not!

Weird. The supplier for Hope here in Aus only has them in 24h. Must be NOS!

Do you have a link? Might be worth getting some shipped over?

Avid Shorty 6 canti 700c->650b conversion.
Not mine, but thought might be of interest.
Sounds as though some fettling of pad is required to get optimum angle / contact ...

Not much ali left there. Don't think I'd be tempted.

They've extended the slot, that material wouldn't have been doing much anyway.

Got a couple of forks here, might interest fellow 650b'ers

Its much too monday for any logical thinking but surely that affects braking performance or something.
Can't quite get my head round if it'd make the brakes super sharp, really weak or just quite grabby.
Anyone cleverer that what I is want to figure it out?

Shouldn't affect braking force too much, but it would affect break pad movement (much more down/up, as apposed to side/side) which would wear pads oddly.
Very Monday. Much hack.

If you have sick photoshops skillz like I have you can actually see the pad is a bit oddly worn already:

A nice solution could be the Brake boss relocator from promax.
It is made so you can use a 451mm rim wheel on an 406mm wheel bike. It is almost the same size difference but the other way around. Going from 700c (622mm) to 650b (584mm) you have to change the orientation.
But may be difficult to find a pair. -

There are tons of these things on Aliexpress.

Increases the mechanical advantage at the brakes, so assuming the same brake levers you would end up with more MA overall. That would lead to a softer brake feel as you're better able to deform the braking system, but you would have more braking power overall. Other downside is needing the pads to run closer to the rim.
It's basically the same as running V-brakes on canti brake levers.

I didn't know that that they are available on Aliexpress. Good to know. A bit ugly though.

Sort of defeats the point of a 650b conversion though.

Given that the pacenti Sl23 is no more, Hed Belgium are stupid money and BLB are apparently a useless supplier, are we running out of options for light 650b rim brake rims?
Was hoping to do a nice conversion but may be convinced to just get with the kids and buy a disc road bike. Already have a nice set of wheels but will need new rims eventually.

I'm after a pair of tyres!
TOTAL stay distance is 54/2.25 and I'd like to get something a little knobbly for wintery off road fun. To leave some clearance I guess 45-47 would be good.
Any suggestions? -

I have some Grand Bois 32c going if anyone is interested. And a 650b disc wheelset.
I ended up ordering some Hope Tech XC rims, light and not overly wide for my Surly Straggler. I believe they're also available in 24h.
