• I wouldnt bother for racing cross. Surely courses dont have enough elevation change for it to have a meaningful difference?

    Theres also a good chance the bung is needed to reinforce the steerer from the inside, meaning without it the fork could crack. Youd also be introducing a load of mud into your steerer

    It isn't so much for elevation tho. It is the carrying of the bike that is the issue
