• It feels fast. I am real happy.
To do is tilting bars down a tad and move levers up, then bar tape and shortening of cables. Hopefully I'll get time to pick up my front wheel at Stayer tomorrow or at least during the week.
I think I'll ride it with latex inners and 40c Challenge Gravel Grinder plus for a bit to get comfortable on the bike. Maybe do September like this and then go tubeless in October when rain starts falling more often and courses start getting soggy. But I really want to weigh the entire bike with tubeless setup.

Edit: Is it stupid to remove carbon bung and top cap, for weight savings, after correction tension on headset is reached?

I'm gonna go with no, its not stupid. You'll be racing this so just make sure its in your toolbox and put it back when you're training (or in the pocket).

Looks great btw. Nicest Tricross ever.

  • Yeah exactly what I was thinking re bung. And thanks. Really helps with paint, loosing the tapered spacer headset top and binning the original forks. A pair of straight whisky or ritchey forks would be nice tho
