Bit annoying if you had a transaction in progress and a PM with personal details or similar that you'd not put elsewhere. I don't see why you couldn't have limited the deletion to the thread in question and not everything.

Also makes past conversations flow all fucked up, no?

I checked first, and there were no classifieds that he'd posted within the last couple of months.

No I didn't but there's nothing to say other people aren't using PMs to sort stuff out unrelated to Classifieds. Seems excessive and veers too far into unnecessary censorship in my mind but it's your hammer...
