These are a couple of snaps of the titec J and the Mary bars..... Hope you can make out the differences!

@stedlocks cheers for posting images, you're a top man. I've got a set of Marys in the shed so I might give em a go with bars ends up front and some control techs to widen em a bit. There's surprisingly not a lot between em in terms of hand position.

either

• some wide 44 drop bars that flare out on the drops - i forget what they're called - paired with some simple aerobars for long straights

• or some narrowish mtb handlebar with bar ends and again the aero bars for long distance comfort

either one is miles above the other suggestions as far as versatility goes - depends only on what brake levers you fancy - also these solutions offer maximum customization as you can tweak almost any dimension

Guess you mean the Salsa Wood/Cowchipper, which isn't what I want and is also £90.

yes woodchipper. I believe there are cheaper alternatives. anyway, not meant to be insulting nor directed at you personally. sorry if I came across that way.

But I don't want drop bars? I'm using MTB brakes so I won't have a useable hood.
