They are on a 2016 synapse, the store I took it too had a couple of other bikes in with the same problem and they knew right away like it was something they come across a fair few times. @hippy Also really surprised there wasn't a recall or a letter sent out warning folk, my mate wiped out pretty hard.

The number of faulty calipers wasn't big enough to issues one, like the FSA chainset whose crank developed a play on the spindle (and result in a couple of frame replaced).

Send it to Shimano to find out what happened.
Presume he still had a front brake though right? #touchysubjectatthemoment
