As I returned this evening, my wife asked me if it would be possible to take a rest day. I thought for a moment. I had made up the challenge so I could make up the rules. I needed a rest day. AI am looking forward to my rest day. Next Monday, Day 11 of my challenge will be a day of complete rest.
Very good.

This is just totally awesome, inspiring stuff. Really like the gritty daily grind of it, no glamour. I hope you manage the rest of it without any serious pain or damage.

I was going to play hunter today, but got distracted by hertfordshire's loveliness.
That and some tyre issues.
Pretty nearly done now! Keep it up! -

Has he had to borrow scissors to trim his pubes? I think not.

Maybe he's permanently devoid of hair.

He is ancient. It's probably all fallen out, right?
But still, if he's not duct taping 7-day crossaints all over his bike he's doing it wrong.

Just to echo @russmeyer , this is really inspiring stuff.
I find myself enjoying @WornCleat 's dry, restrained narration immensely - needs to be read aloud in a Michael Hordern voice

And home in record time, again without pushing it.
Today it is my left wrist. Swollen for some reason and sore. Had to take my watch off.

I am lucky that might bike is superbly fitted and the saddle ideal. The slight redness I saw yesterday has gone with sudacreme.
I'm surprised you didn't pass me on the way back to London. I was so slow on Sunday. Took more than two hours less today.
