Something like 10.30 > 4.30 IIRC.
Mostly they just go home. I don't know what the conditions for being sequestered are but it's pretty unusual (unlike in da movies).

Is the decision of each jury member anonymous?

It's going to be a story for them whatever the verdict - it's summer and Sun readers hate cyclists
-
• #47536
Has the judge said what kind of decision they want? Or do they always start by asking for a unanimous decision and then settle for majority if they can't achieve that?
-

From Martin Porter QC on twitter;
"I wasn't there but almost certainly the Judge would have given a majority verdict direction some time today. Requires 10-2."
-
• #47538
I don't think any direction was given today. But I wasn't there either.
-
• #47539
Does returning a majority verdict against a unanimous one influence the sentencing?
-
• #47540
Don't think so. I think the judge says "I'll accept 8-4". I saw it on Judge John Deed.

I'm currently in Hull for work, and the whole centre of town is pedestrianised. Bikes are allowed but obviously they have to slow down, stay alert and give way to those on foot. the whole area is calm and safe. We need more areas like this in London. We also need fewer teenagers screaming around with no brakes.
Freedom of movement etc.
What hours to jurors work, do they stay holed up in hotels with no access to the outside world?
