Just picked up 3 pairs of newly repaired jeans from the Regent Str. Levis shop - 5 quid per pair, they've all been rescued pretty successfully from their "crotchless" state.

The repairs are somewhat industrial, but definitely cheaper than new jeans - and now double reinforced, much like the old commuters.

re jeans repair, do you mind showing some pics? I have 2 pairs out and 1 on its way, £5 seems a bargain. Shop down the road does it for tenner each, it's 100% more...

I suppose they only do Levi's own jeans?

Yea it's only their own jeans.

Attached photos of the most obvious repair job (easier to see what they did in the picture). It's a pretty industrial job, but not noticeable when you're wearing them. Had to really light them and then use flash to get a picture that showed it.
