It's just recognising that you get treated differently or have better opportunities than other people and it's largely down to luck.
For example, a rich white, straight male, like Donald Trump is still convinced he got to where he is through the virtue of his own hard work and nothing else and seems to think that a black woman from the Bronx born into poverty and with health problems could easily achieve similar if only they worked a bit harder....
This cartoon is pretty good at explaining it actually, if you can get over the fact the babies look old enough to have mortgage worries:
