  • Was this in the London Bike Workshop in Southwark a few months back? Bloody love it! I'm on the hunt for something similar myself!

  • Thank you again!

  • Yes, the white and grey frameset not the red one. Around Jan/Feb this year

  • Still working on that one. Hope to finish it before summer's gone.

  • added this one to my collection. A 1991 Offroad 550.

  • How are you finding the bouncy stem?

  • Holy cow, that stem!

  • it was! dropped in for a tune up before setting off on a little tour.

  • Bouncy. But I knew these are terrible, had one on my first mountainbike ever.

  • @WimVDD check your pm dude ;)

  • @edmundro sorry, was on a weekend. Replied your PM.

  • Mental paintjob.

  • Love it!

  • Today I stripped it down completely and washed all the greasy/oily bits in petrol. Repacked with grease and generally washed it down and WD40'd everything. I replaced all the cables and fitted new grips and put it back together. I reckon the Ritchey Mad Max tyres are original but they are still perfect so as of 20 minutes ago it lives!

  • Bridgestone is one of those unknown brands over here. Were they any good?

  • Good thing it was unknown here... ;)

  • I was looking mine up, around $1500 brand new in 1991, and whilst everyone was going shimano, this one was rocking mavic.
Currently running 1996 deore xt with just the 32 ring up front and 8 on the rear.

  • Need to buy some new tyres for my late 90s custom made Grandis (italian frame builder). It has columbus nivacrom and campagnolo dropouts with screwers. Finish with a complete LX groupset and mavic rims... now with silly city tyres... i just dont have the time to fix or ride it!

  • @Mancini - I guess that was the Zip advertised on eBay for a while? Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it isn't a Zip. Could be an MB-1 (still quality) but the frame is wrong for a Zip, they never had eyelets for a start, and the dropouts are wrong. I did try emailing the seller on eBay to inform him.

  • @Saarf - That Cinelli next machine elevated is bad-ass, seems weird to make a bike out of Max O.R but put the cheapest Campy group on it though, it's begging for some Centaur or Euclid imho.

  • Yes. Very highly regarded (by the minority) with a really interesting approach to frame design and component speccing.

  • Anyone has info on this ? Bought this few weeks ago, but cannot find that much info in the internet

It's a Cinelli Cabrio, it don't seems to be an high end product, but still nice. 4130 tubing TIG welded, camping with matching stem & bars..
