Only 48mpg?

I get 43mpg out of a 290hp 3ltr diesel.

Maybe I'll have to try less hard? Was country roads, then motorway and then Sunday evening crawl into town.

Previous car was a very old CRV that drank petrol.

Crawl into town might have killed it. I'm almost all motorway for 90% of my driving...

If it helps, i'm lucky to get 30mpg on the motorbike for the commute.
