Actually. Reading back I don't think 6-7 hours will be enough. Maybe try for nearer 10am from Winchester and 8-9 hours on day 1 leaving 4-6 hours for day 2.
@tomo187 threatened to recommend some pubs a few pages back.
When I'm at a computer I'll try to work out if Chacontcontbucontrbury Ring would be a sensible 2/3rds along overnight stop.
