Just you wait for the rolling out of mobile network on the tube. Happening in the next 2 years.

Would you say two people on a bus shouldn't have a conversation then?
Yeah - and on trains too -especially across you.

I read this and at 6.00pm this evening a chap turned up for his shift. We were waiting for ambulances to return and sitting outside in the sun. He got his fucking phone out and sat two feet away "face timing" some married woman he's seeing. She was in her house with screaming kids to deal with whilst he's smoking and carrying on a very loud conversation. It went on for at least half an hour after I walked away. Cunt.

So, on public transport you want everyone sitting in complete silence? You sound like a right bore.
Out of interest have you ever asked anyone to be quiet while on a bus/train? How did that go down?

More expensive toothpastes don't work any better than basic fluoridated. It's just marketing.

That's the issue right there. Public transport is never silent, they're always fucking loud, which forces people to talk up. I'm fine with those who whisper to those next to them.
@AlexD I'll try that next time.

Sounds like public transport isn't for you. Have you considered cycling?

People having a huge argument with somebody on the phone, while walking in the street/shopping is quite...interesting too. I don't NEED to know that sort of thing ;)
I am starting to slowly hate the arseholes on the small bikes out in the park behind me. I can't see who they are, I don't feel like going out to check as I'd need to get quite close to get their faces (no camera with zoom lens alas) and I've phoned the PSNI several times by now, they are aware, the local neighbourhood community* group says the PSNI is aware.
GRRR. Much annoying noise, 2-3 times a week in the evening.
*a real one, not the "community groups" well know and loved in Belfast... ;)

Wait, are you suggesting riding one of those bike things?
Obviously I don't mind the normal chat but I do object to the, inevitably an american, at the back of a silent carriage full of people reading or trying to go to sleep, barking at their phone.

Being stuck in traffic and sleeping in airports. Currently on holiday in Croatia/Slovenia, my bus today was stuck for approximately 3 and a half hours and it meant that I missed my hotel check in so now sat on a bench in the airport. It's going to be a long night

People that sneeze and cough into their elbow
-
• #8747
Why? So much more hygienic than sneezing into your hand and then shaking someone else's with it/touching railings etc.
-
• #8748
Do you wash your elbows often during the day?

• #8749
Still mosquitos. The fuckers are even biting my face

I find it's the moving alive ones that bite me.
I hate the fact that really good toothpaste is ridiculously expensive and so are ferries to Spain.
