Although my tracker said it was fine, it appeared to have stopped transmitting last day. Two sets of batteries for one race and it doesn't complete where as last year I use only one set!

I was still riding. Nothing is built tough enough these days...

I believe he fell at speed, broke his rear derailleur, climbed up to CP4 single speed only to find that broken chainstay on the way down. He's still going though! Dunno if he's still SS, wont be easy to find a new Etap derailleur if it's dead.

650b? How many people ride 650b and larger tyres? Sounds like it would make sense, given all the reports of gravel and rough roads.
