I spent a long time looking for a mk1 escort a couple of years back - even since then I think they've gone up in price a bunch.

Apparently it was the Fast and Furious film where they fought a tank in one that made the prices go crazy.

Can't say i believe that - i have built about 6 mk1 / Mk2 Escort rally cars, they have been silly money since at least 2010
