Has hippy's tracker stopped working? Can't see why he'd stop there, there's no "servo" there, no source of food I can see at all, just the most enormous open cast mine, unless he's found the keys to the works canteen.

Looks pretty desolate on streetview. Hope it isn't tyre problems. Don't think he's had any tracker worries so far. He did tweet a wind-moan about 30 mins ago.

The only scratching he is allowed to do is of his gooch. He had better finish his picnic, get back on his bike and put us all out of our agaony.

@hippy's dot is a lighter blue, does this indicate tracker problems? Last report 2 hours ago.

light blue just means it hasn't updated in a while.

I'd guess slight difficulties with the tracker though. Doesn't look like there is anything to stop for around there and if he was stopping for a snack/puncture etc. I'd expect his tracker to continue updating but just in the same location.

Think it goes to light blue to show how long the rider has stopped for, like it is doing with hippy, it only updates on a moving dot (?) so no reason to be concerned I think, plus his last tweet looks mid-stop.

Hippy already up, tweeting away. Looks like his last day in the saddle today, so I guess he's got to get it all out.

Most likely explanations for no recent updates are:-
a) Tracker battery has run out
b) he's stopped for lunch somewhere (there's a restaurant just down the road from his last tracker update) and he's put his bike somewhere where the tracker can't get/send a signal from/to the satellites
c) fkndgs ate his tracker

Looks Like Melissa Pritchard will be finishing today, she's just behind hippy. Great ride from her.

Also Timothy France, who I believe is the rider who was struck by lightning (or had it strike close enough to knock him out) may be finishing in the next 24 hours.

5 riders have gone past where hippy's dot is without stopping so maybe it is a tracker issue. Be good to get a tweet-moan soon.

No updates on his tracker for four hours. He last tweeted complaining (so no issues there) about a southerly wind two hours ago. From this one must deduce that he is still riding and putting in a solid effort to finish.

Four hours ago he had 123 km to go. He was ahead of Lee Pearce (hero of the ferry TCR No3) who is now only 42 km off the end. So, on that basis and assuming tracker issues, @hippy should be arriving within the next two hours.

I would suggest that @skinny quickly goes out and buys all the beer, food and Sudacreme in town because after hippy arrives, there won't be much left.

Hippy is still moaning on fine. His tracker is just dead.
