I've got a Protone. It's nicely made but not amazingly comfortable or cool. I tend to run warm anyway, but find it makes my head a fair bit hotter than my old Prevail.
Oh and yeah it looks a bit weird.

Yeah the adjusting plastic strap has cracked at the back of mine, still works ok tho

Hmm ok thanks. The K50 made me sweat like crazy so maybe a Protone isn't a great idea.
Went to an Evans to look at some but they must have only had about 5 models on display for road :(

If you look a few posts up from your original post you'll see some discussion about the current Bell helmets. Zephyr and Stratus. They've got a really intuitive fit system that has suited all the riders on my team (and we don't all have the same shaped head), are nice and open to improve ventilation and the Zephyr was designed with MIPs integrated into it instead of adding it additionally like many other top end helmets do.
I'd recommend at least giving one a try for size if you find one. If you're not doing anything particular this Sunday, you could try one out at Herne Hill as the guys from Bell will be down at ThunderTrack. :)

Protone was the best decision I've made in a long time when it comes to bikes.

Thinking about being a right cock and getting a Paul Smith one.

New Oakley Aero helmet from the looks of it.

I ordered a Giro Foray MIPS from Merlin Cycles for £40 - of all the ones I tried on, it felt most comfortable. I am changing from the Giro Savant which I needed in a large as the medium was just too small. So I've had a massive, goofy looking lid for a few years. Ordered the Foray in medium, it may be too small but it seemed ok in various shops. I'll see.

I'd have done the same if it was in stock when I bought. You either have a Kask head of a Giro/Spesh (narrow) head. If you are Kask then protone is about the best you can buy.

Does it look good with a cap underneath? I am currently wearing a Kask Rapido and everytime i look in the mirror side on it looks shite

I need suggestions for a helmet suitable for a long and narrow head shape.
I need lots of cooling rather than aeros.
Something that comes without horrid graphics, please. gloss white is better than black.edit: And I'd love something slim/compact/low profile.

I'm a skinny head and garneau suit well. I have the course and the ventilation is pretty damn good. Minimal sweatage.

Kask mojito

Random I know, but if anyone has a black Met Manta helmet they want to swap for a mint white one... give me a shout.
Would I be an idiot to attempt to paint it?

Thank hou both!

I like my mojito but it's not particularly cool. Kasks are very 'round' compared to giro/specialised.
I'm waiting for the new kask that they had at the tdf, looks super airy. -

What's the correct colour for a helmet? White? Matching your shoes?

There's not a travel/hardcase for an Evade that I've missed, is there? Or recommendations on a general case that would fit?

Anyone know where has Kask rapidos in stock in London? Trying to work out if the Mojito is worth the extra dosh, or if a rapido will do.

Sigma Sport in Kingston does

To all my H R Giger head shaped brethren, very pleased with my new Giro Synthe. I really liked my Mojito but the Synthe is lighter, breathes better and looks more sleek.

Anyone tried those Brooks helmets yet? Thoughts?
Thinking the same and also find that the Giros don't fit well. Looking at a Protone but they just look a bit odd. My C50 feels a bit Bradley Wiggins 2014 though, and the dial has broken.
