Fair enough of course. Was just wondering how strict they'd likely be for something that looks like a 500m stretch at most...

Who knows what it looked like at the start of that (by the Industrial Estate he went into).
When I rode it, I couldn't find a way through without going on the motorway at that point.

Bloody hell, the 72 where Skinny is right now looks beautiful.
It is, and there is a cafe at the top that does both beer and ice cream!

It would have been picked up. What penalty he would get, I don't know. But Mike was really pissed off about people riding on motorways. He said at the finishers party that if people did it this year, there wouldn't be another TCR.

Going to be close, I'd say that Skinny will be just 15 minutes behind Bjorn (to where the 72 meets the 18). Depends on the descent...
It's fast

• #1533
Looks like it's going to be 30 minutes. Last update he was ~2 miles from the junction with the 18 (where Juliana's car seems to be waiting).
He might have stopped somewhere near the top.

Touring through Serbia atm. Boggles my mind to see these guys having ridden the same distance as I did from July 4th, while they are only riding for 4,5 days now 🙃!

Number 49, Sean Morrison just got knocked off by a car but is ok with minor injuries it would appear. Given this and the fatality at the start of the race, I think it's nice to see Bjorn obeying the race manual and willing to lose the lead to not go 500m on the motorway to maintain an advantage.

Juju's Car was last reported as doing 130.6kmh. What's the speed limit?
Speed limit? It's a race! Oh, wait ...

Glad he's OK. Can he/does he want to continue?

Rider #49 here. Just got hit by a car. Waiting for police and
ambulance. Arm is fucked up, head a bit sore. Not sure about bike.
Tried the race mobile but only got a message bank. Will update later.
Stay safe out there. Codeine for the win.https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=367364393680037&set=gm.1578145178902818&type=3&theater

The bit that Bjorn just passed follows road 18 with a junction to get onto E50, he was tracked at the service station which is on E50 rather than staying left and following road 18 across the junction to turn right (if that makes sense).
I can't work out what happened there--the tracking points are few and far between. Perhaps that section isn't a prohibited road. There's a toll station there, but it looks from the aerial imagery as if it may be for HGVs only. If you look a little further west, there's a very odd tracking point that seems to be in the middle of a field, so either the tracker's not very accurate or he went there to sleep or something.

Ah, rubbish. That doesn't sound good. Just outside Egna/Neumarkt judging by the tracker.

Looks like a truck, not a car. If that's the vehicle involved.

Bjorn is fine. The E50 is still ok to ride on. Here's the junction that he would have taken to turn off the E50 on to the 18 after that service station:-

It becomes the D1 motorway (prohibited for bikes) after that point so he was ok, you can see the motorway signs a bit further along.

It seems to have happened at this junction:

Sean saying his bike is fucked.

Yes, there's a sign that indicates the start of motorway status. The road's already marked as D1 well before that junction, so just the status as D1 doesn't automatically ban bikes.
This junction looks very hazardous to me.
It seems to be a bit of a bodge job from when they constructed the motorway section. Drivers are prohibited from entering road 18 there (which is undoubtedly also why Björn continued to the service station there) by means of a sign and a solid white line. You bet that plenty of drivers will take chances there, though. This bit is also very good:
I daresay many people will disobey the banned turn and the 'no vehicles of any kind' sign there.

How are people getting different colour track lines on the TL map? I just get blue ones. I was totally happy before I saw those coloured lines, now I'm jealous.

Use the unofficial dot watch site.

Is it? I can see that the other side of the road (Westbound) is D1 motorway at that point, but Eastbound is still the E50 as far as I can tell.
(The various online maps all say different things, I'm going by the roadsigns visible on Streetview.)
Judging by Twitter it looks like the heat is really taking its toll today.
