Heh, yeah. That's routing. Not mapping. But that kind of bare bones stuff is pretty usable in my experience, and works well on my Fenix 3. Most of the time you just need to know if you are on the route, and roughly when the next turn is. Everything else is kinda noise.

Looks like some last minute improvements and upgrades are pushing the Hammerhead Karoo back to an October shipping date.
Sounds like worthwhile improvements though.

What have they added? I just jumped on the pre-order.

Improved the antenna for even better connection, and changed the body material. Also making the attachment foot a separate piece, made from stronger material.

Thats kind of what I was thinking...
I talked to the Lezyne guy at registration for the 100, and he kinda sold me on it. It now doesn't need to be paired to a phone to give you directions, which was the tipping point for me. Anyway, there's one in the post for me.

Looks great. I'd much rather they did it this way rather than rushing out the product to a deadline.

As impatient as I am, I'm also hoping that at least this might mean they've got it dialed from the start.

How much is the latest price for Karoo and the estimated shipping date? Found some conversation behind the link posted by BRP a few comments above but haven't had a price quote even though signing up to the mailing list.

Watched the video by dcrainmaker and the Karoo looked really nice and especially the navigation feature just what I'm looking for.

Right, Karoo ordered. Garmins die if exposed to rain, Elemnts can't give accurate elevation readings, fingers crossed the Karoo is what I'm really after...

Ordered mine on 31st July so hopefully in the first run. Having it delivered to a mate in NY though so may not get it straight away.
