I was so bad at football as a k8d I never even made it into the reserves team. But I knew my limits, no one could get near me when it came to running and swimming.
My kids have very little interest in football which I'm not disappointed about tbh -

Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have a strong interest in signing the Dutch youth defender Melayro Bogarde, nephew of the former Chelsea defender Winston Bogarde
lets hope chelsea get him

City looked good against us yesterday. Really good. Their high press really put us under pressure and we never really adapted to it. Think it would have been different if dele had of put away his opportunity.
But walker and Danilo looked really good, really pro active playing almost as wingers and the diagonal cross field pass caught us out on more than one occasion.
Not sure why the Spurs fans were booing him though, he wanted to move back north, we got £50m what's there to be upset about... it's not like a sol campbell situation and he also gets too much flak in my opinion as well...
ederson's kicks will probably be a big factor in the season coming up, can't be offside from a goal kick and if he can launch it to the edge of the oppositions box, could be some easy pickings for aguero..
Nothing worse than being in a stadium designed for sitting when everyone around you wants to stand throughout the match. And American football/soccer fans can be as obnoxious and tribal as English ones, even if their knowledge isn't as advanced as we'd like.
We were a bit sluggish all the way around. I'm putting it down to hard training in this block of preseason..
Youngsters, who came on looked lively, and janssen could have had a goal, and nkoudou looked like a proper impact substitute winger for the second game in a row. So a few crumbs of encouragement to take from that.. -

I know, could have been a lot worse. Only players to come out with any credit were Toby and verts.
Toby was giving everyone a bollocking pretty much all match.. -

Nice to see the ladies don't seem to suffer the same external factors, boredom and pressure the men complain about tournaments.
Didn't see the game but sounds like pep is displaying peak Liverpool fan pre season boom syndrome. What happened to new signings needing time to gel. Arsenal winning the home sponsored Trophy by losing to Seville. Massive statement to Sanchez

No problem if they come back with 200million.

Congratulations to Arsenal on an historic fifth Emirates Cup victory.
While Chelsea may be the only team in London with a European Cup, Arsenal are the only team in England with the Emirates Cup and they've won it five times.
Respect.

Oh I missed that. You normally know when it's Emirates cup day as it's a bit like day release in North London with all the FKW's shuffling about. Congratulations to them

• #137169
arse won the tournament even though sevilla had a 100% winning record and beat arsenal
go figure
-
• #137170
i guess as they were making up the rules of the competition they inserted rule 6:1:2 Arsenal will lift the tropy as winners regardless of results
-
• #137171
Yes that does sound a little odd. The Guardian described it as a mathematically perverse afternoon, which sounds like a more political way of saying 'fixed'
-
• #137172
i think worncleats glowing words above, at how they have managed to win a historic 5th emirates trophies, might be a little OTT
-
• #137173
Yes spectacular result that. Ignore the naysayers who belittle this glorious competition with piffiling snide remarks about things such as winning the most games. This trophy is exactly what Arsenal supporters want. Once all games have been concluded, list the teams in alphabetical order to determine the final league positions. Well done Arsenal.

Villa club shop runs out of R's...
Aston Villa’s shirt-printing issues will be resolved before the start of the season as the club continue to deal with a frenzy following the arrival of John Terry.
An incredible 79 per-cent of sales have included the new club captain’s surname which has led to a shortage of letters on the printing desk at the Villa Park club shop.
