  • Just picked this up to turn into my commuter. It's a charge plug. They don't have mudguard or pannier mounts. Hoping to put guards and a front rack on. Metro porteur looks good but wondering wether having p-clips that low is a good idea? Any other suggestions?

  • racks like the Soma Porteur come with plates so you can mount on the axles. Doesn't work with all forks though as the fork legs can interfere with fitting.
If you can fit the rack, you can fit the guards to that.

  • pelago rack would also work and be cheaper than the soma

  • I have a metro porteur on my Surly Straggler. The bit that bolts to the fork crown hole is non adjustable - I had to do a lot of bending to get the rack to sit level. It wasn't an issue for me because disc brakes, but it looks questionable whether you'd be able to accommodate a Caliper brake with that big chunk of metal in the way.
