  • I think their web-site has folded.

  • You haven't finished your other bike that can pack away

  • Haha you're so sour

  • Paid!

  • 17.5kg for the 6 speed. It may be foldable but you won't be carrying it very far.

It's even heavier than the gocycle and not far off the same price.

  • I think 2 speed would be ok with the assist

  • After reading that article I am wondering how it took 5 years to develop. It's not that different to the existing aftermarket ebrompton conversions. I was expecting disc brakes, mid drive, an elegant solution to incorporate the battery and wiring into the frame while still allowing it to fold.

  • Probably. That's still 16.6kg though.

  • "We’ve been testing this battery for a year, but what happens when it gets water in it? What happens when it gets whacked? What happens when a bit rattles off after three-and-a-half years? We’ll see what happens...Some might say this is a new and improved Brompton – I say it’s new and unproved."

    Brilliant marketing that

  • 100% this.

There's no innovation here. Certainly nothing worth the £3k price tag.

  • because my commutes are not 2.5 1.4 miles

  • Neither are mine, I wouldn't even call it a commute....

  • Is it 1.7?

  • M8 you need leccy

  • What the fuck is that hideous thing on the front where my lunchbox normally goes?! Looks like a fucking shredder! Who do you think you are - iron mountain?!

  • Looks so shit 😕

  • Think my Brompton's all ready for the BWC. Look Keos, big chainring, all cleaned and oiled, new cables, Kojaks on and mudguards off.

Not sure what time to head down to London. Is there much to do between now and the race?

  • Where is the race? Would be good fun to come and watch! After my brompton racing debut at Nocturne I was thinking about giving it a bash - 58T chainring is a good choice, can you still fold?

  • St James Park, race starts at 7.15 this evening. I'm gonna head there soon to sign in, I think. Come on down!

58t still folds fine. I seem to remember reading 60t is the biggest you can have that'll still fold but could be wrong.

What I should've done is get a 13t sprocket to fit it, so I could run 58 x 12/13 rather than 58 x 12/16. Don't think the 16 is gonna be much use for this but can't find anywhere to buy the 13t by itself.

  • I didn't know this was happening. Securing that course has to be just about the best advertising for a British product imaginable.
