  • Gravelking SK get knobbly, you can get standard (filetread) Gravelking in 32

  • The file thread are the ones I'm looking at getting

  • Paselas ride pretty shit and have average PP, GKs ride well (both the file tread and SK knobbly ones) both have good PP. For the odd bit of off road the file tread are surprisingly capable, for proper off roading the SK are surprisingly capable.

  • I'd recommend, had them on my winter commuter last year and they didn't miss a beat

  • Paselas ride pretty shit and have average PP,

They are not plush, but they last forever. I've had 28's on my commuter for over 2 years. They are now nearly dead, but still remarkably few p*&^%$£s. Would buy again for fit and forget gumwalls.

  • What's a reasonable road/commuting tyre, 28c, roughly the price/quality/puncture protection of Rubino G+ but gumwall?

  • I ran Gravelkings in a 28, non gumwall though..

  • Cheers! I've got a pair of Rubinos still to use, but bought a pair of gumwall Corsa G+ recently which have been nice apart from puncturing at the slightest hint of rain/flint.

I quite like the look of gumwalls though, so wondering if there's anything a little tougher I can stick on once they and the rubinos wear out.

  • Clement Strada LLG? I've got 25c ones on my Whitcomb. I don't ride it much, but they seem pretty good so far.

  • I ran a pair of 35s on my commuter - I thought the rear wore quite quickly - can't remember how many miles
I covered on them but not that many. If durability with some ride quality is the name of the game then ribmo are far better.

  • Gravel kings are pretty meh TBH.

    Massive disappoint with mine.

    Need moar TPI

  • Wiggle have found a bit more stock of the Best Tyre Ever ( @swedeee ?)

  • Hey guys! I'm looking for 26x2.1 or wider slick/semi-slick tyres that don't cost a fortune (~40 quids a pair). Preferably gumwalls. Maxxis DTH is not an option unfortunately, it's sold out everywhere here in Hungary. I was eyeing with Schwalbe City Jet but it's only 26x1.95. Any other options?

  • Halo Twin Rail

Edit: Slightly above your budget but you're shit outta luck on semi-slick above 2.1" in gumwall. I had the same problem!

  • Cheers mate, will check it out!

  • they are awesome tires.

  • Anyone try the new Pirelli P Zero Velo tyres yet? They seem pretty high-end and plenty people (reviewers) seem to like them, Mantel already sells them

  • That's perfect for my Thorn Sherpa! currently have 1.75 but it's a mite small for towpath thrashing.

  • If anyone's interested my lbs has some Open Pave (all black) 25c, for £25. I'm willing to post em.

  • I've had nothing but good experiences with the pasela PT. Been using the 25c version on the Donohue for the last few years. Hardly any punctures, good in the wet and last for a decent while. Definitely not the fastest tyre ever but good for every day use in my experience.

  • I'm looking for 29x3 slicks with tan walls, not having much luck on Google, any ideas?

Shame the WTB Rangers don't come in 29. Suspect I'll have to compromise on size and colour with something like Super Motos.

  • Doesn't Maxxis do something in that flavour?
