  • How didn't I see this thread before?
    Some readers (ex-)wife:
Liyang AT 750 | Full XT, very lightweight, probably triple butted, however no info on the internet whatsoever.

  • This thread is rad. Found this bike that someone was getting rid off. Made a thread if anyone has any ideas :-) https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/306014/#comment13757543

  • Had Shimano 200gs on my first mountain bike, I'd recommend an upgrade of the frame worth it...

  • My winter/it's raining bike. 1995 Rocky Mountain Blizzard with Shimano XT.

  • Shame on you...

  • That's your winter bike? Agree with above.

Had a Rocky Mountain Altitude t.o. from the mid nineties, was my first really good bike. Still miss it.

  • This just turned up at casa stedlocks....

    Marin team Titanium from 1995!

Always wanted one of these, from when I got my first real mountain bike in 1986 or so... palisades trail in flouro yellow and zolotone grey!!
I have some bits already, but annoyingly sold some xtr bits off cheap a while back as I didn't think I'd be needing them again....

  • I had an eldridge grade in flouro orange with zolotone paint. My first 'proper' mtb. :)
My dad had a pine mountain from the year before they switched to zolotone.

  • Another Haro, really like the crazy geo of these:

  • My mate still has his Eldridge grade ...or rather his mate does! He keeps asking for it back, but it's not been forthcoming😂
I had a result with this ti one though.... let's just say I'm good mates with the boys at the tip!! Look at the welds!!

  • Weren't they made by one of the top ti builders for Marin...can't quite remember.

edit...scrap that...just realised that was the year the ti frame building moved to Taiwan. But I'm sure prior to that it was a top US builder...honest! :)

  • I'm aged about 16. I've been working in my mums restaurant washing up pots and pans on a Saturday for £25 a day. I've saved and saved and have £975. A family friend agrees to bring me this back for the US.

I can still picture him wheeling this shiny thing down the restaurant to give to me. To this day, still one of the best days of my life.

  • Yes mate, litespeed made them (and another whose name escapes me!) but this was the first year of made in Taiwan.... apparently, they are still very good though. I've tracked down an old set of wheels that I gave to my mate when I switched to 29er... Indian giver!! Mavic rims with XT hubs.... they'll need a good going through though!

  • I've got one NOS fella! I gave away some perfect tioga gumwalls about two months ago! This needs gumwalls!

  • If I had a titanium, and the money, I'd go something like this, but without so many coloured bits, especially the spoke nipples.

  • I have an absolutely unused pair of these... But unfortunately they're currently in storage.
First flight bikes had them remoulded from the original moulds, but with folding beads. Awesome tyres!
