  • ^ blasphemy, but I feel you @hippy. only 2 classic races that really excite

  • Classics, or Monuments? Strade-Bianchi and MSR are great, and I love ALL of the cobbles, even Kuurne-Brussels-Kuurne. L-B-L is a bit of a snooze-fest but the rest of the Ardennes was good this year anyway. Il Lombardia is usually abysmal weather which makes for some balls-out racing too. San Sebastian also deserves a mention.

  • ah yes Strade Bianche, that one is exciting too, as Omloop because it's the first on Flemish ground in the earliest of spring... And Gent-Wevelgem when there's a storm. I watch the others too of course but they really only get interesting to me in the final few km's - from the run-up to Poggio, Cauberg, on the Rue de St Nicolas, snoozefest until Mur de Huy, Jaizkibel, etc.

  • San Sebastián is Froome fodder.

He'd have to be totally washed up before a team let him prioritise that. Wiggins didn't get a classic, and he actually knew about cycling and shit.
