I think all tubeless issues are user errors. Either bodges or trying to save money (false economy) by not using all tubeless 'ready' products (rims, tapes, valves, tyres) or just not setting it up properly or have basic understanding of the concept.
I found setting them up easier than the tube set up and it was first time for me.
Having said that I haven't seen any real benefits, I didn't puncture with tubes and I haven't punctured on tubeless. I can't tell the difference in rolling resistance either. I was due for new tyres so just went tubeless.
I think the tubeless conversation is more karmic than anything else on here ..
Do you puncture a lot? Tubeless.
Are you mechanically unsound? Stick with tubes.
Are you looking for gains with the latest tech? Get into golf or triathlons.
