DJ, I'm thinking of kinlin rims at the moment but open to suggestions.
Looking for a decent alloy rim, sensible width, stiff enough to build up into a strong wheel set at 33/28 spoke. Tubeless ready.
Recently bought DT Swiss for the road bike which are nice but I suspect well into marginal gains for the £.

Disc brakes justify carbon rims.
Good point which I'd not fully considered.
