• So I am fitting out my renovated farm house, and have run speaker cable to every room. The plan is that each room will have somewhere between 2 and 6 speakers in each room, with all the speaker cables running to my tech cupboard in the loft where each room will be set up with its own amp and chromecast audio.
What this means is that i need 7 amps, 7 chromecasts and 28 speakers...

I have the chromecasts (got them in one of the currys deals)

My plan is to get the amps and speakers up and running with cheap solutions and then slowly upgrade each room as needed.
For amps I am already using a Lepy mini amp in my office and pleasantly surprised by how it works. The question is what budget speaker options are out there, which are wall mountable?
For now it is more about budget rather than quality, will look out for deals over time to upgrade, bonus points if speakers can be had in white...

  • ceiling speakers?

  • Theres a couple of amp options on the cheap that are brilliant

Im a massive fan of the SMSL amps. if you want to upgrade but dont want to spend megaGNs on it.

They're also small form factor too.

I'll be getting the Q5 at some point.

  • I'm going for similar - except I'll use active monitors, each with an audiocast attached to it (because I have no desire to hack up any plaster and run speaker cables).

I'll may hack the power cable to run both the monitor and audiocast, and have a single plug (unless i can find an off the shelf product that does similar).

  • speakers

I can't recommend a particular set, but I would definitely recommend ceiling speakers for the bathroom and kitchen. They will mainly come in white, some can also be painted. It's unlikely that you'll ever get full on amazballs audio fidelity - but with an extractor fan or shower going, so what?
