  • You are in luck!

17-Sep London League Round 2 Herne Hill Velodrome
24-Sep London League Round 3 & Sussex League Round 2 Penshurst Off Road Club
08-Oct London League Round 5 Herne Hill Velodrome
19-Nov London League Round 9 CycloPark
25-Nov London League Round 10 Penshurst Off Road Club

OK slight exaggeration but these ones require some skill.

  • Awesome thank you! Knew I had seen it and flicked back through this thread but didn't realise it was 22 days ago!

  • Ooh.. whereabouts on the course is this ramp?

  • Depends how they lay out the course, but the fields are higher than the pathways and so there was a bit of a launch in the winter race there.

  • I gained a place when one of my rivals' ability didn't match his ambition.

  • Cheers, will keep an eye out near the path.

  • All that faff for 12 minutes of racing.

  • I enjoyed that. Sorry about your puncture @andyp Nice to see you anyway. Also good to meet @KDense and @Ecunard

Some very fast people out there this evening, but @Howard had by far the best jaunty heel kick whenever he jumped the barriers.

  • I've been practicing

  • I was the #6 hanging ever further off the back, in a blue jersey - subject to some definite sympathy claps on way around.

Race highlight definitely the moment I got confused about where I was and thought I was on the off camber bit when I was actually at the bit just before it so rode sideways along a very unsuitable bit of one of the mounds and fell off in a inglorious heap.

Spent the rest of the race vainly chasing back on, getting near to the back of the field just in time for the leaders to lap me and end up stopping completely to let them through and having to start the chase again.

On the plus side, I had a bit of cake, three beers and a pack of quorn sausages on the DLR home.

Also, @Ecunard is the politest overtaker I've encountered, and I've been overtaken by a lot of people.

  • That looks rideable what's everyone plating at

  • It was rideable if you were going fast! That looks like the bunching on lap one.

  • Yeah, loads of people were riding up it, as long as they had a clear run.

  • Home and hosed - and absolutely rinsed! That was a very enjoyable evening. Lovely to meet a few more of the gang.

  • glad (most) enjoyed it! sorry to hear you punctured @andyp, there were a few brambles that we tried to clear out as best as possible, but a few stragglers probably remained.

we did intend to put a few corners in before that bank to string things out a bit, but ran out of time and stakes, so it was a wee bit shorter than intended.

  • I was enjoying it too, cracking course that I was just getting to know.

I'm not sure what caused the puncture, it was just above the bead by the rim and wouldn't seal, despite their being no visible hole.

Thanks to you and everyone else from Kibosh, Hub Velo and the 5th Floor for organising.

  • It was rideable if you could get a clear run at it, but that was difficult given the size of the field.

  • First pic looks like they're queueing for beer handups

  • Noobs lol

  • I can't believe how quickly he would've lapped me if I'd not punctured. I reckon he'd have got me within 4 laps.

  • Are the results up anywhere yet?

  • I won and beat Jeremy by three laps

  • ^ may not be tru

  • not yet. They said "soon" last night...
