  • @StevePeel How do we get our hands on some of your coffee Steve?

  • My sister had one of those. I tried it out but couldn't get on with it; too fat to easily grip with my wee hand and the action was rough with a too short handle, sharp edges and plastic parts that didn't look like they'd last.

  • Best to drop me an email to coffee@yellowbourbon.co.uk and I'll send you a description list with prices. Then decide what you would like and I'll send you a PayPal invoice and put the coffee in the post. Cheers.

  • I agree, it's a similar motion to using a hand brace drill.

  • Yellow Bourbon Brasil Grota Funda brewed up this morning. It is so velvety- unreal.

  • Hey,
I'm selling an electric grinder if anyone on here is interested.
    Have a look here.

  • Had some yellow bourbon's delivered over the weekend. working through the brasil and sumatra at the moment - excellent stuff

  • Just got a Handpresso gifted to me along with about a million Barzula pods, kinda fun to mess around with.

  • Finally got my hands on a la pavoni.. Been trying out some local roasters. When i was out in Japan i had some dukes coffee which was de-lishhhh https://www.dukescoffee.com.au/

Anyone know any shops that stock it in the UK?

  • I was lucky enough to find a La Pavoni sitting outside my house on the street! It had a faulty switch that tripped the electricity, so it seems the owner just threw it away. Since then I have bought and fitted a replacement switch. I've used it once, but the results weren't that good, can you recommend any checks for common faults/good user guides?

  • You probably need to practice with it. Dial in grind size, find correct dose for the beans you are using etc etc

  • Looking forward to trying this!!

  • @dancing james gave good but ultimately useless advice. you just need to pass it on to me.

  • Looking forward to hearing how you get on with it. First purchase on my list when I get a bigger kitchen.

  • My Yellow Bourbon also arrived yesterday. Couldn't get it quite right yesterday but nailed a couple of shots this morning and the espresso blend is is throughly thoroughly moreish. Chapeau @StevePeel !

  • I've just spent 14 hours brushing out someones stray saliva on their lip from some video in Photoshop. 10980 frames. Is anyone available to inject cold brew into my eyeballs?

  • You should be able to DIY coffee enema. Cleansing and stimulating.

  • I was going to post the video of Dr Statham from Green Wing giving himself a hot coffee enema but channel 4 have blocked all green wing clips in the uk the cunts.

  • Swag

  • Look at the facebook group page man, so much to read, learn its good! does take time to get used to it, probably got through 500g of shit coffee just to work out the correct grind setting on my grinder. Best of luck

  • Thanks for the feldgrind recommendation.
I bit the bullet and got one. It is perfect for what I needed. The grind consistency is much better than my Porlex and on par with my electric grinder. Worth the money for my niche needs.

  • Sent Mr Peel an email wednesday lunchtime, had yellow bourbon coffee in my hands by thursday morning. fantastic stuff sir.

Ordered myself a bag of the hermosa premium and the grota funda, primarily for the cold brewer and another bag of each for my client who was sitting next to me when the coffee list came through and wants to stick them in his aeropress at home.

made up a batch of cold brew with the hermosa premium last night for lunch today but the tasting notes sound so good I banged a shot through the gaggia this morning for a flat white as well. bloody lovely it was too. very well behaved pull as well, one micro notch finer on the grinder just in case and pulled 45g from 19g in 28s which is roughly my usual method. went well with the oatly barista too.
