Can I run a 32 with a a standard medium cage 6800 Di2 rear mech?

Gone and fitted a 52/36 up front and fear I'll wreck my knees in the mountains.

Depends on chainstay length, but I run 32T with a Compact and the Short cage.

Would a bike with shorter chainstays need a longer or shorter cage?
