• First bleed? What brakes? Mine worked from initial setup, once I worked out how to set them up. I don't like to touch stuff that's working unless it's something that wears out.

    It's a 4000k race. Unless you have almost new cassette and chain it'll be past its 'totes fucked' wear point before race ends.

  • RS505/BR505. They feel fairly spongy.

    So:

    1. new chain/cassette
    2. Bleed brakes
    3. new pads (sintered)
    4. service rear hub
    5. Service/check BB
    6. new gear cables (is this necessary with only 2000km on em?)
    7. new tires
    8. lube pedals/cleats
    9. check bolts all over

    fuck me this is gonna be expensive

  • You also should be thankful you already have the bike. I have some scary credit card statements these last two years.

    Grip paste on anything that might slip. ie. aerobars/handlebars.
