It doesn't seem to add any 'value' to the crime. Just makes it worse for the victim and presumably the crim if caught.

It's cheap, easily available and incapacitates the victim in an instant.

Put the horrible consequences to one side and you can see why they use it.

And carrying a bottle of liquid might be easier to get away with than a more obvious weapon like a knife.

It's fucking horrible.
