I'll need new levers to do this (the R785 are single port) so I'll save it for another year when there might be better bars available anyway. But thanks for the info.

Nope. You can use the Y connector to connect both levers to the bar end junction box and then run the long cable from bar end junction box to junction B. The cable comes in sizes up to 1600mm which is plenty.

Oh yeah. That's probably why I had that Y connector in my list in the first place!

Still not super keen on drilling bars but it could definitely work.
